I'm a PhD candidate at the Zentrum f�r Molekulare Biologie of the Heidelberg University (ZMBH) in the group of Prof. Dr. Henrik Kaessmann. I specialize in data analysis and bioinformatic approaches to investigate the evolution of stem cells as part of the SFB 873. I was introduced to bioinformatics during my bachelor studies and have been in love with it ever since.

Workflow for Enrichment Analysis and Data Exploration: A novel approach for exploration of GO Term enrichment analysis results with a focus on categorisation, cross-dataset and cross-species comparisons. Supports analysis of lists of significant genes, using a Fisher's Exact test and of lists with a continuos measure (like fold change in RNASeq experiments) using a Mann-Whitney U-test. Created as part of my Master Thesis work.
Video tracking software for behavioural studies. Fast single organism tracking with close to no required user interaction. zfTracker was created for thigmotaxis experiments of adult and larval zebrafish. Nyanemone tracks the movement of anemones (the animals, not the plants).
Both zfTracker and Nyanemone are created in Python using the openCV API for computer vision.

This is a Python-Flask web application with a SQL database that creates epic or old German sounding names by randomly choosing a pre- and a suffix. At the time of writing this, there are over 6000 possible names.Generate epic names!
